3 tenants arraigned for fighting in public

Three tenants who fought and constituted nuisance in their neighbourhood were on Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the accused, Chidinma Orebiyi (37), Favour Ikenna (21) and Robert Ikenna (24), who all reside in Oshodi, Lagos, on July 24, fought over whose turn it was to fetch water at a public source.

He said they used sharp objects to inflict injury on themselves.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs B. O. Osunsanmi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety each in like sum and adjourned to September 28. (NAN)
