The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Katsina State has arrested three suspected drug peddlers and recovered 80.10kgs of Indian hemp.
The suspects are: Shuaibu Usman, from Yar Komura village with 79kgs of Indian hemp; Surajo Kabir of Dallaje village with 1.250kgs of hemp; and Abu Ibrahim of Doro village with 103grs, all of in Bindawa LGA of the state.
The spokesman of the command, Mustapha Maikudi said the suspects were dealers, who had been disturbing the people of Bindawa local government of the state.
He said: “On getting information about the drug activities taking place within the local government, the command sent a team of officers and got the suspects arrested.
“The suspects are in the custody of NDLEA Katsina for further investigation and possible prosecution.”
