3 sachet water workers remanded for stealing truck

A Kano State Sharia court sitting in Kwana Hudu has remanded three staff working in a sachet water company for allegedly stealing a truck used for distributing sachet water by the company.

The defendants: Auwal Garba, Inuwa Tukur Ahmad and Abdul Rauf Sani, were arraigned by the police following a complaint by one Shamsi Alhassan, the owner of the water company.

However, when the charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty, and the prosecutor, Aliyul Abideen, asked for an adjourned date to enable the police to prove its case.

The Khadi, Nura Yusuf Ahmad, ordered that they should be remanded and adjourned the case to October 19.
