The Gombe State Police Command has paraded suspects who allegedly attacked a residence in the Tudun Wadan Pantami quarters of Gombe searching for valuables.
A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Hayatu Usman, stated that on October 2, 2024, the police received a formal complaint from one Alhaji Isah Suleiman regarding the incident.
According to the complaint, a group of unknown individuals conspired, and armed themselves with knives, machetes, sticks and went into his house in the said area.
He said the criminals, who were in large numbers, forcibly broke into the house, attacked Alhaji Suleiman, and robbed him of one Haojue UD motorcycle, six GSM mobile phones, one standing fan, one bundle of wrappers, jewelry and one electric iron.

The statement gave the name of the suspects as Ahmed Shuaibu (24) from Barunde quarters, Gombe, Abubakar Usman (23) from Kumbiya-Kumbiya quarters, Gombe, Mohammed Nuhu Jibrin (30) from Abuja Low-cost quarters, Gombe and one Habu (surname unknown), who is currently at large.
ASP Abdullahi stated that upon receiving the complaint, police from the Low-cost Division swiftly took action and arrested Mohammed Nuhu Jibrin in connection with the alleged crime. Through his arrest, police apprehended two additional members of the syndicate while the other suspect, Habu, remains at large.
He listed exhibits recovered from the suspects to include one Haojue UD motorcycle, GSM phones of various makes, one electric iron, a Holy Quran (pen) and one bundle of wrappers.
