Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday on the Ibillo/Ikiran-Ore road in Akoko-Edo LGA of Edo State kidnapped six passengers.
It was gathered that the police, in collaboration with vigilantes, have rescued three of the victims and combing the bushes for the three others still with the kidnappers.

The state’s police deputy spokesperson, ASP Jenifer Enniferu Iwegbu, said three of the kidnapped victims, Mrs Alice Audu (70), Mrs Isaiah Ruth (65) and Mr Dejor Isiaka (50), were rescued unhurt on Monday and had since been reunited with their families.
According to her, bush combing is ongoing to rescue the remaining three unhurt and also to neutralise or arrest the fleeing suspects.
