The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on Saturday arrested three men linked to armed robbery and car snatching in Abuja.
The FCT police commissioner CP Garba Haruna, while parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Abuja on Saturday, said the suspects were arrested following a proactive response by men of the police command.
He gave the suspects’ names as Gabriel Abba, Sunday Abba, and Abdulkareem Jaffaru, saying the trio were linked to a spate of armed robberies, car snatching, and one-chance activities within the FCT.
He said the suspects who were under the command’s watch for the offenses were taken into custody.

“And it was during the operation two vehicles; an ash-coloured Toyota Corolla car without a registered number and a black Toyota Camry 206 model, also without a registered number, as well as one beretta pistol were recovered from the suspects,” he said.
The CP, therefore, said investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate that evaded arrest.
He reassured residents of the FCT of the command’s unwavering commitment to fostering a secure and serene environment, even as he urged residents to remain vigilant and report emergencies or suspicious activities using the police emergency lines via 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883.
