3 killed, two injured on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Three persons have reportedly died while two others sustained injuries in a lone crash along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The incident, which involved a green Toyota jeep marked BDG213BJ, occurred at Fidiwo bridge on the highway around 1:07pm, on Wednesday,.
Daily Trust gathered that the vehicle had suffered a tyre burst, while the driver lost control of the wheels and crashed under the bridge.
Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.

Okpe said five persons were involved in the accident out of which three died, while two others sustained injuries.
She hinted that the injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere while the corpses were deposited at FOS Morgue in Ipara.
Okpe advised motorists “to drive within the stipulated speed limit and always go on a routine check to detect any fault on their vehicles.”
