Scores of hoodlums allegedly responsible for the killing of three people in Oremeji Agugu area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, during a mayhem between hoodlums (Federal Boys) and members of the Motor Park Managers (PMS) have been arrested by the police, police spokesman in the state, Adewale Oyeifeso, said on Sunday.
Although the police claimed it was a cult-related violence, the spokesman of the Park Management System in the state, Alhaji Emiola Jelili, earlier told Daily Trust that hoodlums called Federal Boys attacked their offices after extorting commercial motorists at Oremeji area of Ibadan.

Alhaji Emiola said, “We reported the case at the Agugu Police Station, but nothing was done. Some of them told us that the police could not do anything to them because some of the policemen connived with them.
“But yesterday, while a robbery on Iwo Road was going on, there was a gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and these Federal Boys used that also to be robbing people in the traffic.
“Some of those who escaped ran to our park in that area, but these boys pursued them there. We had to drive them back. They came back and attacked our offices after we had closed, but security agents have taken over the place now.”
Daily Trust further reports that residents of the area now live in fear because of the crisis which started on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, the police spokesman said operation was ongoing to stem the crisis.
