Three people were reportedly killed on Thursday in a renewed cult clash on the Benin-Sapele road in the Ogheghe area of Edo State.
A source explained that two of the victims, suspected members of a cult group, were trailed to the area by members of a rival cult group who opened fire and killed them on the spot, and that the third was killed on Akpakpava Road while waiting to board a vehicle on Friday.
City & Crime learnt that the renewed cult killings in the state were reprisal attacks by a rival cult group which member was killed during a previous cult fight.

When contacted, the Edo State police spokesman, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the command was aware of the killings and was making effort to arrest the perpetrators.
