Three people have been killed in a suspected cult clash at Corner Stone vicinity around Gyado Villa in Makurdi metropolis of Benue State.
Witnesses said the incident happened around 8:40pm on Sunday after suspected cultists engaged themselves in a gun duel in the affected area.

A witness told our correspondent on Monday that two out of the three deceased were siblings of the same parents.
The witness said the sound of gunshots and the scream of the victims could be heard by the residents during the incident where three people were gunned down.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP. Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident but said two persons died while one other was in the hospital.
“Incident is confirmed. Investigation is in progress. Two died while one is in the hospital,” Anene said.
