Three people have been killed in an accident on the Abuja-Lokoja highway in Omoko village in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
A witness said the accident happened around 6pm on Wednesday and that it involved a truck and an 18-seater bus.
He said the bus was coming from Lagos to Abuja when the truck veered off its lane after one of its tyres busted and rammed into it.
He further said, “The truck driver lost control when one of the tyres busted and rammed into the bus. Two women and a man in the bus died on the spot.”
He added that eight other occupants of the bus sustained injuries and were evacuated to the Abaji General Hospital by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
An official of FRSC who was part of the rescue team, confirmed the accident and number of the victims.
