Two persons lost their lives while two others sustained injuries in a fatal crash which occurred at Gada-Biyu village, along Abuja-Lokoja road.

A witness said the incident happened at 3:55 pm on Saturday and involved a Mandiesel truck which did not have a registration number and a Daf truck with registration number RSH 752 XA.

He said the driver of one of the trucks, coming on top speed from Lokoja axis lost control of his steering and crashed into another truck, which he said was entering the highway from an arterial road.

He said the two persons who died in the accident alongside two others that sustained injuries were taken to the hospital.

When contacted, the Abaji unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) ACC Abubakar Shehu, confirmed the accident, which he attributed to speed limit violation and loss of control.

He said the two corpses and the injured victims were taken to Kwali General Hospital by the police patrol team before his men arrived the scene.

He also disclosed that one person died while two others were injured in another accident which occurred near Dangara junction along the highway.

He said the incident involved a Sino truck with registration number ERE 164 XA and a Sienna bus with registration number KSF 513 XZ, saying the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Abaji General Hospital morgue.

He said the two persons who sustained injuries were receiving treatment at the same hospital in the area.
