Three suspected kidnappers have been arrested during a gun battle between them and the operatives of the anti-kidnap unit of the FCT Police Command.

He gave the names of the suspects as Hussain Ori, aka Mugu; Aminu Adamu and Yawo Adamu, saying that one of them, Hussain, had been on the command’s wanted list since 2022.
He said the suspects had confessed to have stormed Dnapowyi village in Shere on May, 5, 2024, in company of other gang members who were still at large and abducted a Pastor, Enoch Maisamari, of ECWA, alongside one Dimas Alade.
He further said, “And they confessed to have collected a ransom of N1.2m from the families of the victims before they released them.”
He said the suspects further confessed to have invaded the same village on August 19, 2024, and abducted a woman, Noami Barnabas, who was a cousin to Pastor Maisamari.
He added that, “And during an identification parade, the pastor and two other victims privately identified the suspects, while the Techno phone used to contact the families for the ransom was recovered.”
