Gunmen on Thursday kidnapped three persons on the Benin-Lagos road in Edo State. They were abducted along the Ogbemudia farm while travelling.
The Spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident.

He said the hoodlums attacked the occupants of a green Audi car and whisked away three yet-to-be-identified passengers from the vehicle into the bush.
The PPRO added that the police are combing the bush to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and to intercept, neutralize or arrest the suspected kidnappers.
Speaking further, Chidi said, operatives of the command have rescued a kidnapped victim, Muhammed Jubril, unhurt after a gun battle with his abductors at Iyuku community forest, Etsako West Local Government.
He said one locally-made single barrel gun, one live cartridge and a cutlass was recovered from the kidnappers who abandoned the item and escaped with gunshot injuries.
