3 die in Lagos boat accident

 Three persons died in a boat mishap in the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State on Saturday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the three, including a director with the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Olakunle Adewale,  died when their boat capsised.

Adewale was accompanying his friend Muiz Bello, a chairmanship aspirant, to Areshe where the wife was to vote.

Only Bello’s wife survived the accident.

The bodies of Bello and others yet to be identified have yet to be found.

Olakunle’s father, Oba Sefiu Adewale, who is the Olu of Epeland, confirmed the incident to a NAN correspondent in Epe.

Olakunle’s remains have since been buried according to Islamic rites.
