3 die, cows killed as trailer crashes in Taraba

Three persons died on the spot when a trailer conveying cows crashed in Jalingo, Taraba state, on Sunday morning.

Daily Trust gathered that many cows  inside the trailer died while several other cows ran in different directions.

It was further gathered that the trailer left Mubi cattle market in Adamawa state Saturday night on its way to Enugu.

A search party was organized to recover the animals that ran into Jalingo town.

Owner of the cows, Musa Sani, told Daily Trust that a good number of the cows were recovered at different parts of Jalingo.

“We thank residents of Jalingo, especially the youth that helped in searching and recovering our cows,” Sani said.

He said bodies of the three that died had been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, while those who sustained injuries were being treated.
