Three persons died Wednesday while 13 others sustained injuries in an auto crash at Gada-Biyu village, on the Abuja-Lokoja road.
The crash involved a Toyota Corolla car with registration number KFU 160 AA and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number EBJ 422 XA.

Residents were seen trying to rescue some of the victims that were trapped in the vehicles which rammed into a parked tipper truck by the side of the road.
A witness said the accident happened around 2:12 pm “when the bus loaded with palm oil and passengers coming from Lokoja lost control and hit the Corolla car and the two vehicles crashed into a tipper truck parked by the road side,” he said.
When contacted, the Abaji unit commander of the FRSC, ACC Abubakar Shehu Dogondaji, said he was not in the office but had directed his men to go the scene for rescue after he received a phone call.
