3 corpses recovered from Jigawa river

Three more corpses of victims of the boat that capsized last week in Jigawa were recovered yesterday, bringing the death toll to 11.
A boat carrying 12 girls across the river between Dorai and Gilma villages capsized last Wednesday, leading to the death of seven of them while the body of one of them was found following day.
A resident of one of the villages told Daily Trust that four others were still missing and that a rescue team of village youths had been searching since then.
According to him, the victims who were mostly from Darai and Doro villages in Jahun LGA were between the ages of eight and 15.
