3 Corps members held over armed robbery in Niger

Police in Niger State say they are holding three NYSC members for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.
The suspects include; Dore Shola Frank, Jimoh Sadiq and Oscar Owolabi, all  serving in Suleija LGA of the state.
A statement from the police spokesman, ASP Bala Elkana, said a team of vigilante members attached to Halidu Gezu Plaza in Suleija arrested the suspects on September 3 and brought them to the police station.
“They were brought on the allegation that on the 12/08/2015 at about 1900 hours, they conspired and entered the shop of one Mrs. Anyanwu Obioma  of Halidu Gezu Plaza Suleija and robbed her of N150,000.00, one laptop computer valued at N140,000, recharge cards worth N159,000, three bags of rice valued at N30,000 as well as 11 big containers of Milo valued at N15,000.”
He said the police had launched an investigation into the matter.
The NYSC spokesman in Niger State said were they also investigating the matter.
