Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted three construction workers in Akoko northwest local government area of Ondo state.
The construction workers were said to be among those rehabilitating Ikaram to Akunnu road in the area.
Sources said the sad incident occurred at about 6 pm on Tuesday, creating serious tension and anxiety in Ikaram and Akunnu axis.
Daily Trust gathered that local hunters, vigilantes and police are combing the forest around the axis.
Acting Police Area commander for Ikare Akoko, Chief superintendent of police Timibra Toikimo has called on the people of Akoko to join hands with police through information sharing and intelligence tips that can lead to the arrest of the criminals.
The Alauga of Auga Akoko, Oba Samuel Agunloye appealed to the government to consider the Isowopo axis which according to him need serious policing and military locations around the area that is sharing boundaries with Edo and Kogi states.
