The police in Ekiti State have arraigned three men, Oyewusi Omotade (28), Kayode Fagbuyiro (45) and Abu Enemona (30) in an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over alleged theft of 94 bags of cocoa worth N80 million.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on or about July 15, in Iluomoba-Ekiti, the suspects and others at large broke into a store and stole 94 bags of cocoa, property of one Olubodun Arinde.
Counsels to the defendants, Messrs L.A. Fasanmi and T. E. Omotoso, apply for bail for their clients.
The Magistrate, Mr. A. Adeosun, granted them bail of N1m each with two sureties and adjourned the case to September 13.

Similarly, the police charged four men, Odewole Tobi (24), Oladimeji Kabiru (26), Awoyomi Ayodeji (27) and Ikenna Ojiako (40), in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged theft.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on or about July 16, the suspects conspired and stole iron rods valued at N4,538,000, property of one Umeh Chidozie.
Counsels to the defendants, Owoseni Ajayi and Adunni Olanipekun, applied for bail for their clients.
The Magistrate, Mr. A. Adeosun, granted them bail of N600,000 with one surety each and adjourned the case to September 5.
