Kogi State Police Command has intercepted a trailer load of thirty cattle believed to have been rustled by the operators of the articulated vehicle around Lokoja – Kabba junction in the state.
The operatives of the command said that they acted on a tip-off that an articulated vehicle loaded with cattle was on its way towards Lokoja, the state capital.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Williams Ovye Aya, said the operatives attached to the quick response unit of the command swung into action and intercepted a red colour DAF 33 Trailer with registration No: Bauchi B 881 KTG.
Those arrested in connection with the crime, according to a statement issued by the image-maker of the command, were Musa Yakubu, Sanni Isah and Rabiu Sanni.
Aya said those arrested had confessed to the crime and were now helping the police in its investigation.
