Three men suspected to be kidnappers have been arrested in Ikede, Bassa LGA of Kogi State.
The suspects were said to be terrorising some communities along Bassa-Dekina LG border with impunity until they were arrested at the weekend and brought to Lokoja on Tuesday.
It was gathered that vigilantes, including hunters, were on their trail for days until luck ran out of them and three of the gang members were apprehended in the thick forest of the local government.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi State Governor, Mohammed Onogwu, said the apprehended suspects had been transferred to Kogi State Police Command Headquarters, Lokoja for further interrogation.

He said the hunters and Fulani guards in the areas, acting on intelligence, raided their camp.
Also, the state police command’s spokesman, SP William Aya, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday to City & Crime, saying, the guards, working with the operatives of the command in the region, assisted in the onslaught that led to the arrest of the three suspects.
