The police in Kano State have arrested three suspects, Hisbullahi Salisu (30), Hassan Rabiu Ali (28) and Hassan Aliyu, for kidnapping a four-year-old boy, Muhammad Nasir Jamilu, in Sharada Quarters of Kano City and taking him to Gwarzo LGA.
It was gathered that the suspects demanded a N10m ransom but that after negotiation N300,000 was paid to them with an undisclosed balance remaining.
The state’s police spokesman, Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement, said that the principal suspect, Salisu, a cousin of the victim, confessed to have conspired with the two other suspects to kidnap the victim.

SP Kiyawa added that the victim was rescued and taken to the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, and later reunited with his parents.
