The police in Ekiti State have arraigned three men, Olutade Ajinde (37), Mohammed Jamiu (35), and Ibrahim Malik (31) before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 10mm iron rods.
The prosecutor, ASP Johnson Okunade, told the court Thursday that the defendants committed the offence on January 4 at about 9pm at Ekiti State Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.
He alleged that the defendants stole 70 pieces of 10mm iron rods valued at N420,000 belonging to the Ekiti state government.

ASP Okunade said the offence contravene Section 302(1) (a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
The defendants denied the charge and their counsel, Mr Sunday Balogun, urged the court to grant them bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A.O Adeosun, granted them bail in the sums of N100,000 with one surety each and adjourned the case till March 12
