The event was sponsored by telecom giants, MTN, one of the world cup sponsors. Fittingly, the show held at the Murtala Mohammed stadium in Bompai within Kano metropolis and thousands of people trooped in to witness the performance.
The biggest ball display is one of the activities lined up by MTN to create awareness for the world cup and the huge football is dubbed in the brands yellow colour. There will also be a Polo tournament tagged, “MTN Polo 2010” as part of the activities.

Other Nigerian artists also featured in the show alongside 2face who became popular for his “African Queen” song that won him local and international acclaim. Token prizes were also awarded to lucky winners of a competition staged at the venue.
