26 arrested for homicide, kidnapping, incitement

The Sokoto State Police Command Friday paraded 26 suspects over various crimes including culpable homicide, kidnapping, inciting disturbance, and armed robbery.

They were paraded at the State Police Command Headquarters.

Briefing journalists on the arrests, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Kaoje said two suspects Saifullahi Aminu and Yusuf Maidamma Yabo (AKA Mai Dumguzun) were nabbed over criminal conspiracy/culpable homicide.

He added that the Police were on the trails of one Abdullahi Bafarawa (AKA Jokolo) and one Shamsudddeen Lawal of Kano state for allegedly conspiring with Saifullahi and Yusuf the criminal acts.

Kaoje explained that  On 31st, August 2019 at about 1400hrs, one Sadiya Adamu of kofar kware area Sokoto, went to Unguwan Rogo Police Station and complained against one Saifullahi Aminu of Kano Road Area, Sokoto, and Yusuf Maidamma Yabo Alias Mai Dumguzun of the Same address.

According to the Police Commissioner , she complained that sometimes In the month of May 2019 they (Aminu and Yabo) conspired among themselves and lured her younger sister one Khadija Adamu ( now deceased), aged 26  out of their home for immoral purposes ( sexual escape) at executive lodge located at No 33 Kano Road, Sokoto.

” Sequel to this they gave out the said Khadija Adamu to one Abdullahi Bafarawa Aka Jakolo ‘m’ of Sokoto and Shamsudden Lawal ‘m’ of Kano State ( Both at large)  for such immoral purpose during which they allegedly drugged the said Khadija Adamu to a State of Coma of which she was rushed to specialist Hospital, Sokoto for treatment on the 30/08/2019 and died on 04/09/2019 while receiving treatment.
