The FRSC added that all the dead have been buried according to Islamic rites.

Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the accident.

The command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, said the search operation was still ongoing to recover the remaining five passengers who were on board the car.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that the Vectra was carrying seven passengers.

“In the course of the search, a wallet was found containing a permanent voter’s card belonging to one Muhammad Alhassan of Zarmaganda, Jos, Plateau State,” he said.

Wakil said the corpses have been handed over to their relatives for burial.
