A 24-year-old man, Ali Musa, was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend, Nu’uman Abubakar, during a disagreement between the two in Yelwa village of Plateau State.
Uncle to the victim, Mahraj Jidda, told Daily Trust that the incident occurred at about 09:00pm on Friday when Abubakar was listening to music on an MP3 which Musa said was “noisy”.
According to Jidda, Musa then asked Abubakar to put off the music, but that Abubakar refused, a “development that angered Musa and he went and brought a knife and stabbed Abubakar in the back,” adding that Abubakar too, in a fit of rage, brought out a knife and stabbed Musa in the neck.
When contacted, the acting spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Donbey Peters, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect had been arrested and that investigation into the matter was on.
