All is set for the commencement of the maiden edition of the annual soccer tournament organised by a former PDP senatorial candidate in Kaduna central in the 20215 elections, Lawal Adamu Usman.
Teams from all over Kaduna’s major towns will compete in the tournament, named Mr LA Annual Football Championship.

Speaking, the Chairman Organising Committee, Abdulsalam Jere, said the aim of organising the tournament is to help youth identify their potentials and promote peace, among others.
Jere said: “The tournament is to be organised by Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria, Kaduna State chapter, and sponsored by the philanthropist, Lawal Adamu Usman.
“The aims of the tournament, among other things, is to strengthen the cordial relationship among the teeming youths of the country, provide a platform for players to showcase their skills to the world football market, and to develop the potential of players to reach stardom.”
Jere added that 23 local government areas of the state will compete in the tournament on a league format basis.
“Participating teams will be provided with football kits courtesy of Mr LA and matches will be played at Zaria, Kaduna and Kafanchan,” he added.
Reacting, the sponsor, Lawal Adamu Usman, enjoined all football lovers to support the tournament and contribute their quarter in ensuring a hitch-free tournament.
