No fewer than 22,000 applicants were shortlisted for screening in the ongoing 2023/2024 police recruitment in Bauchi State.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police (CP), Auwal Musa Muhammad, who disclosed this on Thursday while briefing journalists at the police training school in Bauchi, said the federal government had taken the bull by the horns by trying to take care of the personnel strength of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

He said, “22,000 applicants were found to have satisfied the initial requirements for the next stage of the exercise which would include both physical and credentials screening. The exercise was peaceful with an enabling environment for the applicants and officials.”
He further said, “All people have been warned, especially those that are going to partake in the recruitment process, that they should shun corruption; nobody is allowed even to come with money around.
“The essence of my visit, which I will continue to do from time to time, is to make sure that all the directives given by the IGP and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) are being adhered to.”
