21-year-old, Progress, Wins Nigerian Idol Season 7, Bags N30m

The season 7 of the Nigerian Idol talent hunt show has ended and Progress has emerged as the winner of the contest.

After weeks of the top 12 contestants singing their hearts out on the live shows to earn fan votes, the Nigerian Idol competition has ended with the contestants Zadok and Progress battling it out for the grand prize of N100m, however, Progress emerged victoriously.

Asides from Progress taking home the title of the winner of the ‘Nigerian Idol, 2022’, among other things from the N30m, his prizes include a brand new SUV, a Bigi branded refrigerator and a year’s supply of Bigi drinks.

Moreso, he will also get to record an EP and six music videos which will be sponsored by the organisers of the talent hunt show, Multichoice Nigeria.

The latest winner of the Nigerian Idol show is also entitled to a weekend getaway courtesy of TravelBeta, and a DStv Explora fully installed with a 12 months premium subscription.

Speaking about his win, the singer stated that he would use his N30m to boost his career as well as help the underprivileged in his hometown, Warri. He further revealed that this is the first time he has ever had millions.

He said, “Music has always been my life, I have always loved to sing and I am happy that I won this competition. I am going to use the money to boost my career. I will also use it to help the underprivileged in my community in Warri. This is the first time I have ever had millions.”
