As part of their preparations for the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Gombe United Football Club, popularly known as the Savannah Scorpions, have completed the mandatory medical tests for all players.
The club’s Media Officer, Muhammad Shu’aibu (Angazi), disclosed in a statement that the tests were conducted over the weekend at the Gombe State Specialist Hospital.
According to Shu’aibu Angazi, the medical examinations are a mandatory requirement for player registration ahead of the new season.
The tests covered routine medical checks, electrocardiography, and a comprehensive physical assessment to confirm the players’ fitness levels.

“All newly recruited and returning ‘Savannah Scorpions’ players have undergone the medical check-up as part of the club’s preparation for the season,” he stated.
Gombe United will begin their league campaign with a home match against Sokoto United on December 15.
