Preparations are underway for the much-anticipated 2024 Visionary African Women Summit.
The summit billed to take place from June 12-16, 2024, at Kigali Serena Hotel, Rwanda, is aimed at uniting African women from diverse sectors to foster inspiration, empowerment, and nation-building.
It also aims to prepare women for leadership positions.
A statement made available to newsmen in Abuja signed by Amb Chinwe Lilian, the Convener of the Visionary African Women Summit, said the summit serves as a dynamic platform for African women, enabling them to engage in meaningful dialogue, share experiences, and develop strategies to address critical issues facing the continent.

“Our mission goes beyond empowering women; it’s about creating a sustainable future for Africa through education, advocacy, and the promotion of peace,” the statement said.
Lilian said since its inception in 2019, with its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, the summit had made significant strides in advancing its vision by ensuring that women attain leadership position and contributing to national development.
“This year’s summit aims to further our commitment to building a society where women can achieve their full potential, free from bias, and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s development,” she added.
