The House of Representative member representing Etsako Federal Constituency, Dekeri Sunday Anamero, has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming 2024 governorship in Edo State.
Dekeri, who is contesting under the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledged free education up to secondary level as well as bursary for tertiary institutions’ students if elected governor.
While making the declaration at the weekend at the party secretariat in Benin City, the lawmaker charged the people to beware of ill-prepared aspirants.
On zoning, he said reducing Edo State to just “Mere turn-by-turn politics would be dangerous for our collective polity, economy as well as the survival of the state.

“In my view, every aspirant from Edo South, Central and North Senatorial districts that possess the basic requirement is eminently qualified to aspire for the position of governor”.
