2024 Hajj: Kaduna Concludes Hajj Airlift

Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has completed the airlift of over 4000 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia to Nigeria which marks the end of this year’s Hajj operations.

In a statement on Wednesday, Malam Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi, the Agency’s Spokesman, said the outbound journey had 56 persons on board Max Air, predominantly officials.

The spokesperson highlighted that Kaduna State had the largest Hajj contingent with 4,767 pilgrims, despite the unfortunate loss of three lives in the Holy Land.

The statement quoted Agency Chairman Malam Salihu .S. Abubakar commending Governor Uba Sani for providing essential support for a smooth Hajj experience.

Malam Salihu further disclosed that the Governor granted the Agency autonomy to oversee operations throughout the pilgrimage.

The statement also expressed gratitude to Engr Suleiman Umar, the Emir of Lere and Amirul Hajj, for their guidance and support during the proceedings.

Malam Salihu praised the pilgrims for their disciplined conduct, noting their adherence to Hajj guidelines and Saudi Arabian laws.

The Agency’s spokesperson added that the Executive Chairman extended appreciation to the management, staff, and Hajj officials for ensuring the successful conduct of the 2024 pilgrimage.
