2023: Youth group asks Adamu Garba to run for President

A political pressure group, Youth Development Association of Nigeria  (YODAN), has called on a former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba II, to contest the 2023 presidential election.
The body, with presence across 36 states of the country, said this in a statement by its Secretary-General, Halidu Abubakar.
Garba was a Presidential aspirant in 2019 under the All Progressives Congress (APC). He later stepped down for President Muhammadu Buhari who later clinched the party’s ticket.
He is also one of the frontline young aspirants at that time.
The youth group however said Garba is still very qualified to be the President of the country comes 2023, saying the youths of Nigeria would queue behind him.
The statement read: “Members of the above association wish to bring to your notice their unflinching support i.e. 100 percent for your candidacy.
“Let us start by extending our profound gratitude and appreciation to almighty Allah for making it possible for us to have an indefatigable and kindhearted leader like you in our midst (Adamawa State and Nigeria at Large).
”Leadership is not all about who gets what, how and when neither is it a game of interest as misunderstood by many people rather leadership is all about sacrifice for the interest of your subjects. Alhamdulillah you are the best example of such.
“Youth Development Association of Nigeria (YODAN) is a registered cooperative society with registration number KDS/SBG/CS/N/23332 situated at No. 121 Abacha Road, Maraba, FCT-Abuja with branches across the 36 states of the federation and we deem it necessary to declare our unalloyed support for your candidacy devoid of other aspirants.
“May we inform you undoubtedly that you have the full support of the entire members of Youths Development Association of Nigeria (YODAN). Please accept the assurance of our esteemed highest regards.”
