2023: We must vote a president with capacity to fix Nigeria – CSOs

A Coalition of Civil Society on Good Governance (CCSG) has said it would mobilise Nigerians to vote a 2023 presidential candidate that has the capacity to fix the nation’s economy, end insecurity and deliver dividend of democracy to the people.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja, Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob and Secretary, Comrade Dahiru Al-Mustapha said Nigeria needed a competent President that would rebook and tackle the challenges bedeviling the nation.

Okpanachi, who decried the spate of kidnapping and killings in the country, called for a well-calculated approach to nipping the situation in the bud.

He said zoning of presidency to the North or South was not necessary noting that the capacity to deliver good governance to the masses was more important.

“The major content of our project is first; competence, capacity and the ability to deliver Nigeria from the economic shackles that we are going through.

“We are not fronting for any individual.

“Our campaign is not devoid of other attendant political and social engineering that will reshape the system towards achieving these goals,” he said.
