The national president of the Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Pastor S. E. Igwe, has called on Christians to participate actively in the forthcoming general elections and vote based on their conscience.
The cleric made the call at the end of the church’s 19th national convention in Abuja on Sunday.
Pastor Igwe advised voters to critically examine the candidates and make their choice devoid of any sentiment.
He also used the occasion to inaugurate the new leadership of the church in the FCT, led by Pastor I. S. Udoinyang as FCT Field Superintendent.

He tasked him to work hard to improve the development of the church and ensure unity among the members.
Responding, the new FCT Field Superintendent, Pastor I. S. Udoinyang, while assuring just and fair leadership for all members, called for members’ collective support to move the church forward.
City & Crime reports that the convention, which began on Wednesday, November 23, ended on Sunday, November 27, with special prayers for the country.
