Hon Seun Bosede Osamaye has been confirmed as the National Project Coordinator of the Progressive Change Agents Initiatives (PCAI).

A statement by the group in Abuja yesterday said Osamaye’s nomination was in recognition of her pedigree and wealth of experience in administration and effective mobilisation.

Osamaye, a grassroots mobiliser, networker, and administrator will direct the projects and activities of the group across the country even as activities leading to the 2023 elections gears up.

While delivering her acceptance speech, Osamaye appreciated and accepted her nomination. She called for collective efforts to achieve the lofty goals of the initiative

She said, “The journey to a greater Nigeria has started and it begins with you and me.

“I’m grateful to God that I will be part of history to be so nominated as a national project coordinator of this Initiative to coordinate the day-to-day activities of all members as we embark on the actualizing set mandates as we match towards the 2023 general elections.

“The Progressive Change Agents Initiative is a concept of a great patriotic citizen of this country who realised that we can no longer sit down and watch how certain narratives are being set down our path.

“The pathway to a greater Nigeria begins with all of us, we owe it a duty to protect the sanctity of this country that we can only call our own.

“Membership of this group is open to all Nigerians regardless of status, religious affiliations, race, ethnicity, or background. If you desire to see a greater Nigeria, then you are a partner in this project.”

Osamaye hailed the founder of the initiative, describing him as a man with a great vision for Nigeria.

“Progressive Change Agents Initiatives core agenda include proper and well-coordinated enlightenment of Nigerian youths on progressive programmes, sensitization/reorientation of Nigerian youths on politics, governance, electioneering process/participation, engagement of Nigerian youths to support and vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a better Nigeria.

Osamaye is an educationist who has taught at various educational levels spanning almost a decade. She was a lecturer in the department of English, Adeyemi College of Education Ondo before she was appointed Senior Legislative Aide on Gender Equality to the Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2019.

As the SLA to the Speaker on Gender Equality, she assists senior colleagues and female legislators to work on areas that promote gender equality rights and awarenesses (VAPP Acts) especially as it addresses Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV acts), promoting gender equality in our social-political spheres by facilitating gender friendly programmes, and partnering with gender based civil society groups committed to the cause of women and the general well being of the girl-child.

She served as the coordinator of the campaign organisation that gave a Member of the House of Representatives a resounding victory in the 2019 elections. She was the deputy secretary, Contact and Mobilization Sub-Committee of the National Campaign Council for Ondo State in 2020 gubernatorial election. She was Secretary, Osun State APC Registration and Revalidation Committee in 2021, she also served as a member of the Gov Badaru-led Election Management Committee of The APC National Convention in March 2022 and a member of the Gov Bagudu-led Election Planning Committee of the APC Special Presidential Convention in June 2022.

Osamaye, in her mid-thirties, hails from Ikere-Ekiti and married to an Ondo State man. She is a dedicated member of the All Progressive Congress and a stakeholder of the party in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo state. Osamaye is the national president of the Progressive Young Women’s Forum and currently the special adviser on political matters to APC National Women Leader.
