2023: ‘Obidients’ set to disgrace directionless APC, says Labour Party

The Labour Party (LP) has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is jittery over the massive support its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is enjoying from Nigerians, stressing it would disgrace the ruling party out of office in 2023.

The party said this while responding to a comment made by Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, who is the spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign.

Keyamo had said, “We told the obedient soldiers that their hero was taking them to nowhere; taking them for a ride of the century and political 419! We laugh! We are ahead of them!”

But the LP in a statement on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, said Nigerians have lost confidence in the APC-led government.

“The ‘Obidients’ are set to disgrace the directionless APC electorally. Festus Keyamo’s infantile outburst is a direct proof and sign of the current fear of Peter Obi’s electrifying mass support all across the nation by the APC that is jittery and troubled by the emerging picture of LP’s landslide electoral victory in 2023.

“The facts visible on the ground in the nation’s political space clearly and unambiguously signposts the irreversible resolve of the voting public to take back their country and away from the confused, jittery and directionless APC that has for close to 8 years of very deadly insecurity and incompetent rule over this over abused nation.

“Yes, the APC is about to fall into political doom and extinction. Festus Keyamo and his politically crippled APC should remain jittery,” the party said.

At the time of filing this report, APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr Felix Morka, was not available for comment as he did not answer calls.
