The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi promised to stamp out corruption from Nigeria and restructure the country’s security governance structure to make it work if elected.

Obi, who promised to block all areas of revenue leakages, said corruption was hindering the country from realising its full potential.

He made the pledge during a meeting with Southern Kaduna traditional rulers, Muslims and Christians in Kagoro, Kafanchan of Kaura and Jema’a local government areas respectively in the southern part of the state.

The presidential candidate also promised to prioritise education, health and agriculture in turning around the fortunes of the country.

On the issue of security, the presidential hopeful pledged to lead from the front with his running mate Datti.

In their remarks, representatives of the religious bodies, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, Vision Pioneer of Throne Room Ministry and Chief Imam of Jama’a Emirate, Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Kassim appreciated Obi for identifying with Southern Kaduna.
