The National Secretary of Labour Party (LP), Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, said no faction exists in the party and that the former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi remains the party’s authentic presidential candidate.
Speaking on a Radio Programme in Kaduna as monitored, Ibrahim said Peter Obi was duly elected at a convention organized by the Julius Abure-led leadership of the party, and supervised and recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to him, the factionalization of the party only exists in the imagination of those who are foot soldiers of enemies of Nigeria and Nigerians.
