A new group, Patriotic Volunteers Association, has emerged within the Kano All Progressive Congress (APC) with the aim of contributing to producing credible candidates in 2023.
Addressing newsmen on behalf of the group at a press conference held at the state’s press centre, a former Kano State commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Dan Azumi Gwarzo, stated that with the approach of the 2023 general elections, it is believed that there is need to advocate entrenching democratic principles hence the need to form a strong and viable front.
He further explained that the vision of the association is to envision a well-established system of good leadership and governance in conformity with international standards, conventions and norms.
According to him, the association identified with APC and operates under its platform.
