The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has drummed up support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, for the 2023 general elections.
Abdullahi, who represents Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency, spoke at a reception organised for him by APC stakeholders at his Umaisha home town in Toto LGA on Saturday.
He said the ruling APC government at both the state and federal levels had performed well in touching on the lives of the people, hence that there was a need to vote for the party’s candidates.
He commended Gov Sule for tackling insecurity, especially in his constituency, where terrorists almost took over the area.
The speaker also appreciated youth and women groups, as well as the stakeholders, for putting pressure on him to contest for a third term.
He said, “It is on that premise that I am here to say thank you for always supporting me to succeed and to officially answer your call to recontest for a third term to represent you in the state legislature beyond 2023.”
