“We have an MOU with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and would be coming to the camp to sensitize and train corps members on the use of gadgets”
“Corps members have integrity in the conduct of election over the years, do not support any particular party or candidate during the election. You should be firm and fair while shunning any act that would tarnish our image during election period”
Earlier, Olubukola, who represented NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. Muhammed Fadah, encouraged the corps members to leverage on the self-employment offered through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.
“You must continue to distance yourselves from cultism, drug abuse and other social vices during the services year. I also urge you to avoid using social media for spreading fake news, fuelling hatred and other negative purposes but deploy same for the promotion of national unity and development,” she said.
Fadah however appealed to stakeholders to support the scheme’s Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), aimed at providing easier access to free and qualitative care, especially for the rural poor.
