Nigeria can’t afford another civil war – El-Rufai
El-Rufai: Not even my corpse will be found near PDP
Some years ago, El-Rufai sacked over 300 district heads, village heads across the 23 local government Areas of the state.
In a chat with newsmen, Hunkuyi said their removal contributed to the deteriorating security situation in rural communities.
“They are part of the cognisance of the security network of their communities. So part of what we said we are going to do is all district heads should go back to their offices. We will reassign them, we will redefine their roles. We will give them responsibilities.
“Therefore, the issue of security must take cognisance of reflecting our own hamlets, villages, communities. We have to come up with burden of security to life from those standards before coming to what we know as other apparatus of security,” he said.
Hunkuyi further said ruling party had wrecked Nigeria’s economy and therefore would be voted out by Nigerians in 2023.
Senator Hunkuyi said NNPP didn’t adopt the same faith ticket because they believe in inclusiveness considering the cosmopolitan nature of the country, particularly Kaduna.
