The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday said non-sensitive and sensitive materials for the 2023 general elections would be ready in December.
INEC National Commissioner for Information and Voter Education, Barr. Festus Okoye, disclosed this at a workshop on conflict sensitive reporting held in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, for South East journalists.

“I want to tell you that this commission is ready, and by next month, December, the commission will be ready with the sensitive and the non-sensitive materials for the elections,” he said.
Okoye condemned the ban on campaigns by some governors, saying there should be level playing field for all political parties.
“The commission cannot manage everything, and what is expected of every registered political party is to fight for themselves.
“By so doing, they have shown that they have the capacity, but the commission is going to have a meeting with the relevant agencies to ensure there is a level playing ground.
“No governor has the right to make laws that would mar the activities of other political parties in this forthcoming election.”
