She charged the members of the committee that “I urge you all to put in your very best to accomplish your assignment on schedule because all matters relating to the election must be treated expeditiously.”
She said the Electoral Judicial Manual (EJM) has enhanced transparency in the dispensation of justice, credibility, and integrity of the electoral process.
According to her, in the past, the manual was titled Manual for Election Petition Tribunals, which gives it a restrictive connotation thereby limiting its usage and discouraging other electoral stakeholders from accessing and utilizing its rich contents.
She thanked the European Union (EU) and its partners, the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) in collaboration with International Federation for Electoral System (IFES) for providing support to the court on election disputes.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, Justice Agube, solicited the cooperation of members to execute the task of a better electoral process in Nigeria.
