The National Population Commission (NPC) has assured communities experiencing insecurity in Sokoto State that they would not be left out of the 2023 census.
The national commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Chiso Dattijo, gave the assurance during a town hall meeting of Sokoto East Senatorial District on Friday.
According to him, the commission had devised means of reaching out to those areas, reassuring that no place would be left out on account of insecurity.
He, however, solicited the support of traditional, religious, and political leaders towards the success of the trial census which he said was meant to identify challenges for correction before the main headcount next year.
In his remarks, the Sarkin Gobir Gwadabawa, Alhaji Lawal Zayyana, assured the NPC that traditional rulers would give them all the necessary support to succeed.
